I am searching for information on my grandmother's family. My grandmother's name was Cora Mae McBETH (married name REED). Her mother was Susan C. LAYMON (b. Ottawa Kans. area in 1877 & d. 1936 in either Nebr. or Iowa...buried in Blanchard Cemetery - rural Fremont Co., IA). Her father was Dennis McBETH, b. in either Iowa, or Nebraska. He is supposedly buried in the same cemetery as Susan, but I cannot find any records. I belive Susan and Dennis were married in Kansas, also. My grandmother was born in Geneva (Allen Co.). Kansas is listed as her state of birth in the 1920 Iowa Census. Family had told me Geneva, Nebraska, but I believe it was probably Geneva, Kansas, since this is so close to Ottawa, KS, where her mother's parents were from. Her mother's father was Burr Laymon.
