I am looking for any info. on the Patrick Jerome Clark Family. They resided in Atchison in 1870's and 1880's and then moved to Effingham. Patrick was born in Cavan co. Ireland in 1840 and migrated to the USA in 1853. He married Margaret Finnegan (finagan) in 1861 in Cambria County Pennsylvania. They migrated to Kansas with two daughters, Catherine "Kate" and Margaret "Maggie" around 1870. Four other children were born in Atchison, KS: Thomas Jerome in 1871, Mary in 1873, John Tobias in 1876, and Ellen "Nellie" in 1878. According to City Directories, Patrick was a foreman for ATSF Railroad in 1872, In 1880 he was a Grocer and Saloon Keeper, 1885 Policeman, and 1893 a Constable. Patrick and Margaret left Kansas between 1896 and 1899 for Washington State. Kate and Mary, whom I assume married, did not relocate with them. Ellen and her husband, Fred Brown, did go to Washington with their daughter Edna, but I understand they returned to Kansas later. I am also interest in finding someone who is willing and able to visit the catholic cemetery in Effingham, across for St. Ann's Church, and take (and email) a photo of Maggie Clark's grave stone. Margaret "Maggie" Rosaline Clark Jones died in 1895 and although she was married to William Jones, it is my understanding that her grave stone does not reveal that information. It is said to be a large carved tree trunk and I am very anxious to see it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
