Eli Cosby b 1846 Lancaster, Jefferson Co IN md 1880 in McLeod Co MN Emma Lizetta CARTY who was b 1852 in Brown Co OH. She migrated from OH abt 1853 with her family to Parke Co IN. The CARTY family departed IN sometime between 1870-77 and settled in McLeod Co MN. In 1920 Eli & Emma were in Humansville City, Johnson Twp, Polk Co MO. Emma died in 1925 and Eli died in 1934 both in Fort Dodge, Ford Co KS. They were taken to Scottsville, Mitchell Co KS for burial. They had (3) children born in McLeod Co MN: Annie b 1881, Charles b 1885 and Martha b 1894. Any info on this family appreciated. Does anyone know of any particular reason that they would have been transported so far for burial?
