I am looking for information on the surnames Rote, Newton & Crain. My 3rd grt grandparents, John & Ester Newton are buried at Barnes. Two of their daughters married Rotes, Mary married William Watson Rote and Margaret married Carpenter Rote. Mary & William are buried in Greenleaf. Margaret & Carpenter are buried near Fact in Clay county. Mary & William's daughter Huldah married John Crain. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I am really stuck on the Rotes. The marriage records did not list his parents name.
