My oral family history states that they "went to a basket dinner where they hear Lincoln speak at Troy KS." This in 1859. And again in 1862, Abraham Lincoln stops at the farm of Phineas Newton and gives a speech in the school house there.
Can anyone give me any more information about Lincoln's visits in Troy?
