Clell and Ethel Burk adopted a baby(?)boy date of birth was 3-29-27.I am his daughter and growing up I was told the old-left on the step story with note at a orphanage at Rosedale or Rosehill Ks.(?) Also that that there were no records because the orphanage burned down. Clell and Ethel had a son previous to this adoption however, had drowned therefore they adopted my father whom they named Cletus Virgil Burk.He died in June of 1977. I am searching for info.
his natural family regardless of what, when, where, or
why. I would like to know my origins, health, and history good and/or bad info. as long as it is acurate. The Burks' family lived in the Clifton/Clyde area when he was adopted.
I found out the dates that Ks. vital records originated,and read about the Orphan Train in the C.C.C.College paper,
both occuring the time my father was adopted. Any help
appreciated. Now I am more hopeful than in the past.
