I am seeking any information on John Wells (born 1815-1830) who married Catherine Jones Simon. He was born in New York, near Syracuse or Utica. She was previously married to Philip Simon and lived in Oneida, New York, until 1856 when she moved to Wisconsin. John Wells and Catherine met in Wisconsin and were married in 1860. Their children include: (hers) Lydia Simon (1848), Ebert Charles Simon (1849), Edward Augustus Simon (1853), and (their's) John J. Wells (abt 1861), Henry Wells, MD (abt 1862), William L. Wells (abt 1863), Sarah Wells (abt 1864), and Charles Wells Stafford (abt 1865, who was adopted by the Stafford family of Chicago). They lived near Troy, Kansas.
