Richard J. Molamphy, 62, of 10956 W. 96th St., Overland Park, died Saturday at Suburban Medical Center.
Mr. Molamphy was the executive vice president of the Overland Park chamber of commerce. He became that organization's first full-time executive director in 1967 after managing a chamber in Willmar, MN.
He was a member of Rotary International, the College Boulevard Breakfast club, the Kansas Chamber of Commerce Executives and the American Chamber of Commerce Executives. He was a Navy veteran. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Overland Park.
He was born in Quinn, SD.
He leaves his wife, Gerry Molamphy of the home; two sons, Dennis Molamphy, Wichita, and Keith Molamphy, Seattle; a daughter, Karen Cochran, North Fort Myers, FA; and four grandchildren.
