I'm looking for information on John Thomas (Jack) MILES who lived near Quenemo before the Civil War. He married Margarete MCCONNELLY. His son, Thomas Jefferson MILES enlisted in the 15th or 16th volunteer cavalry regiment, and later married Rhoda MCCOY (from Franklin Co?) and moved to Indian Territory. Rhoda's parents were Isaac MCCOY (not the missionary) and NOTENEQUA (Fire Woman). Family tradition tells that Isaac lost his parents in a smallpox outbreak and was adopted by Isaac McCoy, the missionary.
