John W. Oden b. 4/19/1824 in Eastern Virginia, d. 11/25/1894 married Rebecca Conrad. 9 children: William, George, Nancy, Mary, Melissa, Washington, James, Francis, and Hugh. Hugh married Mary Minerva Latimer 2/12/1901, daughter of Lyman Latimer and Arrena McLin. Hugh was b. 7/2/1871 in Roanoke, WV; d. 4/1/1949 in Holton, Jackson Co., Kansas. John and Rebecca moved the family from Virginia to Jackson Co., Kansas. John, Rebecca, Melissa, Washington, & James "Arthur" are buried at a small cemetery in Holton. Hugh and Minerva are buried at the Holton Cemetery. Any information appreciated, willing to share.
