I am trying to locate the relatives of S/Sgt. Robert W. Monroe who died on April 29, 1944, when his B-24 Liberator bomber crashed in Germany. He is included on the list of Smith County WWII Casualties. The Missing Air Crew Report lists his mother, Hazel M. Monroe as his next of kin. Her address appears to be General Delivery, Jewell, Kansas, and I have posted an inquiry on the Jewell County board also.

My uncle was the navigator on that plane. I have a lot of information about the training my uncle and his crew received, the 8 missions they flew, and their crash. I also have a photo of the crew taken 2 weeks before their deaths.

I would like to locate relatives of S/Sgt. Monroe so I can tell them about the military service of this fine young man. Any help would be appreciated.
