Looking for info on Civil War veteran John Hoffman and his wife Leah. Hoffman served with the 87th Pennsylvania Infantry. Here is all I know about him.

Hoffman, John, Pvt Co H; mustered Sep 25, 1861; wounded twice and captured at Carter's Woods and paroled September 29, 1863 but deserted Camp Parole, returning under guard until December 29, 1863; discharged Oct 13, 1864; a millwright and carpenter from Hall (Kralltown), York County; 5' 11", dark hair, dark eyes; born May 20, 1834 in Perry County, the son of Jacob & Mary Hoffman; siblings: George, Lydia, Susan, Mary, Jacob, and Eliza; married Leah Smith in 1865; children: Jacob S. (b. 10/14/67), Mary Emma (b. 04/02/69), Peter James (b. 03/25/72), John Andrew (b. 08/31/73), and Eva May (b. 05/07/83); moved to Parsons, Labette County, Kansas, in 1877, later Nebraska, and back to Parsons; died Dec 11, 1919 and presumably buried in Parsons
