Article in Champion & Press 9 Feb 1870 describes how Francis Buttermer shoots wife and kills self on way home from Catholic Church. Wife dies later that night. Unfortunately, wife's first name is not given. She is buried with husband at her dying request.
Would like additional info if printed in later issues of paper--like wife's name. Buttermer came to Atchison from Iowa, had son William.
