I am looking for any information on William R. Cohoon, son of Barnabas Cohoon. I am told that he is one of the first settlers in Atchison County. He was a member of Company D, Second Kansas Volunteer Calvary in 1861. He was married to Mary Jane Lockwood in 1868 who settled in Atchison County with parents Levi and Sophia Lockwood in 1859. My great great grandfather was his brother. Looking for any information, but anything on Barnabas Cohoon would be appreciated.
