Hello - I am researching my husbands family but have only a few bits of information to go on. I know that his grandmother, Marie Helen Koralek was born in Republic County on 11/27/1902. Her parents were Joseph Koralek and Josephine Rovnansky. I also believe that Joseph's father was named Joseph Koralek. We found an old copy where Joseph Garalka filed for citizenship on 4/26/1898 but only the first page showing his name, the date, and a St.Ingham as Clerk District Court. It looks as if the family name changed from Gralka to Koralek but we don't know when or why. If anyone has heard of these names, know anything at all or know if the county still keeps copies of immigration records from the 1898s, please let me know. I appreciate any suggestions or input you have. Thanx!
