Searching for information on the family of Martin Myers and Sarah Row (Rowe). Martin Myers born 27 November 1795 in Liberty Township, Adams Co, PA, third son of Martin Myers and Barbara ??? Martin removed to Shenandoah Co, VA in August 1818, where he owned a shoeshop. Relocated to New Market, VA before April 1828; Philippi, Barbour Co, VA (now WV) in 1843. Relocated to Calhoun Co, Kansas in 1863 on a homestead later called Myers-Tutt homestead, located in Cedar Township (Section 29, Township 8, Range 16) Calhoun Co (now Jackson Co). Martin married Sarah Row (Rowe) in Shenandoah Co, VA 20 November 1819. Sarah Row Myers died in KS 25 March 1868 and buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Valley Falls. Martin lived at the Homestead farm with his daughter, Elizabeth Ann (Betty) Myers Tutt and her husband, Edwin E. The homestead was sold to Edwin and Betty Tutt 5 November 1878. Martin and Sarah Row Myers had the following children: Mary Ann, Elizabeth Ann, Luther Martin, Rebecca Ann, John Quincy, Amanda and Ireneus. Amanda married John Beland and lived nearby.
