Looking for David Newton Nicholson, b. 14 April 1866 in Illinois, whose Homestead Application in OK Territory in 1894 listed his residence as Kiowa, Kansas. Relinquished land 8 November 1896; however, still found on 1900 US Census in Woods County on same land. Married Nora DAVIS 9 July 1895 in OK Territory by J.P. TRENT JONES; had one child born in KS: Ellis E., August, 1896; two other sons Arthur N. b. 19 September 1989 in OK; Willie Willis b. 19 February 1922 in TX. Two other children did not live to adulthood, names unknown. David Newton Nicholson is my husband's grandfather, and Nora Davis Nicholson his grandmother.
