I'm delving into my husband's lineage and all roads lead to Osborne County. He knows very little of the Rothenberger side and is anxious to find out anything he can.

Franklin Antone Rothenberger married Viola Mark. They had a bunch of children (I'm still cataloging), one of whom was named Franklin LaVerne Rothenberger.

Franklin LaVerne was born 23 Jul 1888 in Osborne, Osborne, KS and died 2 Aug 1974 in Palco, Rooks County, Kansas. . He married Iva Jean Claytor 30 Nov 1910 in Shambaugh, Iowa and died 9 Dec 1963 in Osborne, Osborne, Kansas. They had 11 chilldren.

The oldest child was Paul LaVerne Rothenberger, who was born 6 Mar 1912 in Kansas (I'm betting it's Osborne, but don't have confirmation of such) and died 7 Dec 1995 in Orange, Orange County, California. Paul married Elsia Gladys Brownmiller, who was born 11 Feb 1919 in Canada and died 25 Mar 1994 in Kern County, California.

Paul and Gladys (her first and middle name got switched somewhere along the line) had a son named Ronald Dean Rothenberger. He was born on 15 May 1942 in Orange, Orange County, California.

Somewhere along the line Paul and Gladys divorced. I'm still working on that piece of the puzzle. I do know Gladys remarried - to a man named George Young.

Ronald Dean Rothenberger married Laura Mae Robinson on 13 Oct 1967 in Montesano, Grays Harbor, Washington. They had a son named Robin Lee, who was born in 1970. Robin is my husband.

Ron and Laura divorced in 1974. Laura remarried and Robin took his stepfather's name of Baker.
