My great-grandfather's sister, Susan Anne Sweet, married
Eli Booth in Iowa County, IA in 1857. According to a
note in Eli Sweet's genealogy of the Sweet family,
Susan was born in 1826 in Madison Co., NY; moved to
Iowa with her father, stepmother, and two brothers in
1855. Susan Anne Booth, husband Eli Booth, and two sons,
Francis R. and William F. Booth, are listed in 1860 Fed
Census for Millersburg, Iowa County, IA, but I cannot
find them after that. Eli Sweet's genealogy notes only
that Susan Anne died in Concordia, Kansas -- this would
have been well before 1925, when Eli's story was
written. Any help or clues will be appreciated.
