From "The Olathe Mirror", Thursday, April 14, 1904, page 6, column 3, in the "Gardner" column.....

Died at her home in Gardner Thursday April 7, Mrs. S. L. Sharpe. The deceased had been sick but a short time eresipalas has the final cause of death but all that skilled physicians and loving hands could do was done in order to ward off the given messenger but the dear loving Father said, Thy work on earth is done, I have need of thee, come up higher and enter the joy of Thy Lord. Mrs. Sharpe united with the Presbyterian church in 1894. She leaves a loving husband, and three children, Ethel and Harry and an infant son besides numerous relatives and friends to mourn her loss. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Presbyterian church Rev. Fulcher and Rev. Boyd conducting the services after which the remains were taken to the cemetery. The family have the deep sympathy of their many friends in this their hour of sorrow.

I believe the cemetery referenced in the obituary is the Gardner Cemetery.

There was no listing for Ada, but I know that the book contains errors and omissions (having tripped over several of them) or there may not be a headstone for Ada.

From "Marriage Records of Johnson County Kansas, 1857 - 1905" published in 1993, page 16

D355 11 May 1884 SHARPE, Samuel L, 23, Gardner KS STEWART, Ada M, 20, Gardner KS, in Gardner by J. N. Rankin, Min.

where D355 == Marriage Book D, page 355

Both of the above books were published by the Johnson County Genealogical Society

In the "History of Johnson County Kansas" published in 1915 there is a sketch of a W. F. SHARPE, whose father was T. F. SHARPE. W. F. had seven sisters and one brother, all unnamed in the sketch. He farmed in Aubury Township.

A photo copy of the license can be obtained from the county archivist.
