Looking for information on a Thomas J. Damewood born about 1850 and his father John H. Damewood born about 1822.

This was reportedly taken from the Buffalo Advocate:
"The body of Thos. Damewood who was drowned in the Arkansas River near Wichita last fall was recovered about Jan 1 , 1899 , ten miles west of Winfield. He had gone with a party of buffalo hunters from Neodesha last fall. He is the son of J.H. Damewood in Cowley
Co. Buffalo Advocate 3-3-1899 - 9-26-1902 Aug.11,1899"

Any information on Thomas J. or John H. would be greatly appreciated.
