I am seeking info on my great-grandparents, Isaac Ephraim and Lavina Lorenda (Sizelove) Voorhees, regarding their residence in Miltonvale, KS. Isaac was born 1 Sep 1856 in Athens Co., OH, and (according to Isaac & Lorenda's family bible) died 6 (or 8?) May 1919 in Miltonvale, KS. I'm not sure whether he was buried in Miltonvale, or in St. Joseph, MO. Lavina was born 17 May 1862 in Mason Co., IL, and died 24 Dec 1949 in Orlando, FL.

Isaac was a guard at the Kansas State Penitentiary in Leavenworth, KS, from the mid-1890s until he had to retire due to disability. He and Lavina moved before 1910 to a farm in Miltonvale, KS, that their sons bought them. I'm pretty sure they were still in Miltonvale on 1 Jun 1917, the day Lavina's father Joseph Sizelove died, based on the following excerpt another family member found in a local Leavenworth newspaper regarding Joseph's death: "Pioneer of Dodge City Dies at Military Hospital in Leavenworth - Burial was made at the home of his daughter, Mrs. L. L. Voorhees of Miltonvale, Kansas. Mr. Sizelove is survived by his wife, five daughters, three sons, twenty-six grandchildren. He has many friends in Dodge City who mourn his death."

I'm particularly interested in tracking down 1910 and 1920 census info - I haven't been able to find Miltonvale in any online 1920 census. And of course, any other tidbits of info about Isaac and Lavina's residence in Miltonvale would be greatly appreciated.
