The Schuetz family,to my knowledge,settled in Brown county in the vicinity of Mercier. My grandfather was J.J.Schuetz,had four sons:C.E.,Al J., Maurice G.sr,my father,and Julius. J.J. owned and lived on a farm near Mercier and helped build the Catholic Church there;Al lived at Mercier,was a cattleman and inspector for the Kansas Agri. dept.,was married to Anna Marie Schuetz,together they had eight offspring. J.J.,his wife,Al, and Anna Marie are buried in the church cemetary,along with other members of the family. Am seeking whatever info may come to me! Thanks for whatever assistance rendered, Frank
