In the 1930 Census, Sedan City, Chautauqua County, KS a Orren H. GREGG, could be Arren or Arron age 42 oilwell driller is living with wife Nina age 31 and daughter Barbara age 12. Orren place of birth is Missouri and parents PA. Nina is a movie threater manager. Orren, Nina or Barbara are not listed in the 1920 Census. Can anybody give me any information on this family. Could Arren Gregg be Ara I. GREGG born Aug. 15 1886 in Creighton, Cass County Missouri. Ara was a oil well driller lived in the town of Hewins, Chautauqua, Co., KS. PLayed baseball on the hewins town team. Ara I. GREGG is my grandfather and disappeared around the year of 1920 to unknown years. I do not know what happen to Ara GREGG and where did he go and I have found nobody in my family that has any information as to what happened to Ara. Some people the town of Hewins say he walked away one day and never returned. He did register for the World War I draft and was not drafted. Ara GREGG had six children with my grandmother Ada Idell Barnett d 1953 in Hewins , Chautauqua Co.,KS. None of the children are living. Ara GREGG is not shown with his wife Ada in the 1920 Census Chaut. Co., KS Ada Gregg is shown as the head of house hold with her children.
