When doing genealogy research in for a KS county, the state or nationally, the best place to go is to the Kansas State Historical Society.

You can do that online at: http://www.kshs.org/genealogists/index.htm

KSHS
6425 SW Sixth Avenue
Topeka, KS 66615
(785) 272-8681

Another place to check where on what records are kept where and how to access them is your nearest public library. They can put you in touch with almost any research facility in a county, state or in the US. They will also have the answer to a lot of your research questions and save you numerous hours in trying to search it out on the Internet, or getting led down blind alleys to eroneous information.

A phone call can give you fast and competent information from a professional.

Good Luck!
