Edward E. McConnell and his wife Emma (Barrett) McConnell married March 1876. Operated the, "The Star Mills" and a Ice Business Coffeyville, Kansas. May also have been involved in operation of a boarding house or hotel. Other family members in Coffeyville and Montgomery County were George H. McConnell, John and Mary McConnell, James McConnell, and Arthur McConnell. My great grandfather Edward E. McConnell and my great grandmother Emma left Coffeyville, Kansas 1890s and moved to Washington State where they operated a horse ranch on Texas Creek east of Carlton, Washington in Okanogan County. My grandfather Edward E. McConnell born Coffeyville, Kansas 1884 and died in 1964 in Washington State. My great grandfathers first son is buried in the Elmwood Cemetery at Coffeyville, Kansas. Grave marker says, "Son of E. E. McConnell born and died 1879. Both my great grandparents and grandparents are buried at Beaver Creek (Silver Cemetery) Cemetery near Twisp, Washington, Okanogan County. Other relatives surnames in Coffeyville area Tibbles, Barrett, and Morgan.
