McConnell and my great grandmother Emma left Coffeyville, Kansas 1890s and moved to Washington State where they operated a horse ranch on Texas Creek east of Carlton, Washington in Okanogan County. My grandfather Edward E. McConnell born Coffeyville, Kansas 1884 and died in 1964 in Washington State. My great grandfathers first son is buried in the Elmwood Cemetery at Coffeyville, Kansas. Grave marker says, "Son of E. E. McConnell born and died 1879. Both my great grandparents and grandparents are buried at Beaver Creek (Silver Cemetery) Cemetery near Twisp, Washington, Okanogan County.
