Ozias Morse BILLINGS and his wife Hannahreta (Henrietta) JENNINGS BILLINGS and family came to Osage County, Kansas in 1865. Ozias's married son, Henry A. BILLINGS, and family also came to Osage county in 1865. Ozias Morse BILLINGS and his wife Hannahreta are in Burlingame township in the 1865 state census for Osage county. They have 3 children still at home: Joseph A. BILLINGS (age 22), Asa BILLINGS (age 15), and Jane BILLINGS (age 12). O. M. BILLINGS appears in Superior township in Osage county, Kansas in the 1870 U.S. census index for Kansas.
Henry A. BILLINGS and his family appear in Superior township, Osage county, in the 1865 and 1870 censuses. A biography for Henry A. BILLINGS and his son, Seymour L. BILLINGS appear in William Cutler's History of the State of Kansas.
I am looking for descendants or any information on the BILLINGS family in Osage county, Kansas to update our BILLINGS family history.
