William McLaughlin and Louisa Dunlap were married in May 1854 in Grant Wisconsin. They migrated from Waterford, Clinton Iowa about 1877 to Cedar Smith Kansas. Louisa died between Dec 1879 and June/July 1880. According to the 1880 census for Cedar William is a widower and has several children living with him: Leonard(ggrandfather)Sarah, Rosa, Marlin, George, Charles, Eddy. Leonard married Olive Thayer in Feb 1887 and she died March 1888 according to bible listing.
