Hi,
I'm interested in the KEESLER family that lived in Cherryvale. It looks like they migrated there from Indiana between 1871 and 1880 and were there through 1920. I believe one brother married my gg aunt, Lydia Cornelius who was from Wakarusa, Douglas County Kansas. Another brother may have married Lydia's younger sister Eva.
So far I have found:
Harvey Keesler b. abt 1831 in Ohio
Mary A. (Snyder) b. abt 1834 in Penn.
Children of Harvey & Mary:
Willard b. 1854 (married to Lydia Cornelius and died in Butte County Ca. 1946)
Lura b. abt 1858 in Indiana
Charles b abt 1864 in Indiana
Clara b. abt 1873 in KS
Other children likely but not known to me.
I've also found Keeslers living in Drum Creek and they may be related.
Until this week, I had thought the name was Kessler, but now find it was KEESLER. This is according to several different sources.
Is anyone else researching this line or related to it? If so I would like to exchange information. I'd also be grateful for any information anyone can share about this family.
