Frank Walter STEERS (a.k.a. Florence STEERS) was born 1 Jan 1890 in Sedan, Chautauqua Co., KS to Robert STEERS and Julia Martiana ASHMAN (a.k.a. Maudene).
The mother didn’t stick around (had multiple marriages) but I can’t find Robert in the Census either. Frank (Florence) STEERS married Delphia Cordelia GRAYSON 18 Dec 1917 in Sedan, Chautauqua Co., KS. Delphia’s parents were Thomas Franklin GRAYSON and Lillian Belle HUBBY. Thomas Franklin GRAYSON was born 10 Dec 1878 in Ft. Smith, AR and died 9 Nov 1918 in Pawhuska, Osage Co., OK. I have information on the ASHMAN and HUBBY forebears but can’t go back any farther on GRAYSON or STEERS. I find Lillian living as a widow next door to Florence and Delphia in Pawhuska, Osage Co., OK Census in 1920. I found Noah James and Chloe Eveline STEERS in the El Cado Cemetery in Chautauqua Co. They were in Chautauqua Co., KS at the same time as Robert and Frank (Florence). Noah’s father was John M. STEERS.
