My gr-grandfather, JOSEPH K. JONES, lived in Salt Creek Twp, Chautauqua Co., KS in the 1880 census, and is listed as a farmer. He was a missionary for the American Bible Society for many years in southeastern Kansas. JOSEPH K. JONES was b in 1846 in OH and married POLLY CAROLINE GAULT b 1847 in OH. They had 5 children: NANCY MABEL b 1870 in IL, married STEPHEN McBRIDE; ALBERT "ALBIE" ERNEST b 1874 IL; EARL JONES b 1877 IL married MARY LOTTIE CAMP; J. WILLIAM JONES; OLIVE JONES married W A HOUSE.

Does anyone know anything about the AMERICAN BIBLE SOCIETY? Interested in any information on the siblings of Earl Jones, my grandfather. Will share information.
