My great-grandparents, JOSEPH K. JONES and POLLY CAROLINE GAULT lived in Severy, Greenwood Co, KS in the early 1900s. My grandfather, EARL D. JONES married in June 1904 to MARY LOTTIE CAMP, and an item appeared in the Severyite, stating they were married at the home of the groom's parents.

Joseph K. Jones was a missionary for the AMERICAN BIBLE SOCIETY for many years, and was in ill health for the last 28 years of his life, probably confined to a wheelchair, or at least handicapped. Does anyone know anything about the American Bible Society?

Joseph and Polly Jones had five children: NANCY MABLE [NANNIE M] b 1870 in IL married STEPHEN McBRIDE in Greenwood Co.; ALBERT "ALBIE" b 1874; EARL JONES b 1877; J. WILLIAM JONES; OLIVE JONES married W.A. HOUSE. The eldest three children are listed in the 1880 census in Chautauqua Co., KS so probably J. William and Olive were born in 1880s in Kansas.
