I also am a descendent of one of the French families of this migration. My GGGrandfather was Gervais Lambert who came from Riviere-de-Loup, Qiebec to Beaverville, IL, and married Aurelie Frechette in Beaverville. Aurelie also migrated from Riviere-de-Loup, Quebec. They eventually moved to Clyde, Cloud County, Kansas. I understand there ere more than 1 Lambert family in the Clay/Cloud Counties.
