The 1891 obit of Joseph W. JONES father (Dr. Matthew M. JONES of Kokomo IN) listed his son living in Russell Springs, KS. Joseph W. JONES (1853-aft 1912) must have migrated to KS ca 1880. Does anyone know of a source of information for local residents in Logan Co. in 1891 since there are no federal census records for that year?
