I'm looking for any distant relatives of my gg-grandfather Samuel Orr who settled at the mouth of the Humboldt/Clark Creeks SE of Junction City in 1858. He was married to Ellen Holdridge Latham and had 4 daughters: Mrs Josephine Martin, Mrs Frances E. Allen, Mrs Hattie Latimer, and Mrs Cora F. Norton(my g-grandmother. He served 4 yrs as chief clerk in the office of US assessor for KS, was deputy collector of internal revenue for 4 yrs, served in the city council in 1859-60, a deputy provost marshall, and a deputy US marshall. In 1861 he took contracts to transport the first mail to the West. He died in Junction City 4 Oct 1900.
