Researching my grandfather, Charles Calvin Smith, he may have gone by Charlie or C. C. Smith.

He moved to Atchison about 1926 from Douglas County Missouri. He lived at 503 or 508 Gillespie Street in Atchison, Kansas with his wife, Sarah and at least nine children. Most of the children were married and left home by the time they moved to Atchison.

The children's names were: Charles Everett, Calvin C., Jesse W., Sarah Lorene, Alexander E. (Alec), Ada Belle, Tultie (Tut or King Tut), Elzie Boyd (Smitty) and Tucker. I believe there were only two children at home, they were Tultie and Boyd.

Charles wife, Sarah, died in 1940. About 1950 Charles came to California and passed away in 1952. His remains were shipped back to Atchison where he is buried at Oak Hills Cemetary with his wife and one son, Tultie.

Tultie (Tut or King Tut) lived in Atchison until the time of his death, 1961.

Does anyone remember my "Smith's"?
