Charles M. STOCKHAM Senior was born NJ in 1845. He
moved with his family to PA. From there, in 1880, he is
found in Indiana - single and working for a railroad. Of
course he is not to be found in 1890 in the census...

In 1900, he is listed in Shawnee County in Topeka, working
as Superintendent of the Lumber Yard for the Atchison,
Topeka, & Santa Fe RR. I think it would be neat to get a
copy of a photograph of that, if it exists...

He had for his first wife, Ella. She died by the 1910
census for Shawnee, and Charles had married Adda. I suspect
her name may have been phonetically entered incorrectly.
Perhaps a pronunciation error misrepresenting Ida? In
either case, she is found as Adda M. STOCKHAM in the 1912
Topeka Directory. Charles Jr moved to OK, where he is
found in 1920, but in 1930, Jr had moved to Montgomery
County, KS.

Please let me know anything you may know or can find out!

Thanks,
Vince Summers
