William Warren Davis was born in Ohio in 1834. He married first abt 1855 Sarah A. ___ b. 1827 in Ohio and had two daughters: Mary Caroline born abt 1855 Iowa who may have married Isham F. Baker in 1891; and Sarah A. b. 1858 in Illinois (a teacher). By his second wife, Lydia A. Gossett, b. 1840 Ohio, he had Emma B. born 1863 Ohio who married Isaac Waller; William E. born 1864 in Illinois who married Mary C. Sweney; Mallie I. b. 1867 in Illinois who married Durward B. Mahannah and John Wesley Davis b. 1872 who married first Georgia Anna Henderson in 1895 and second Estella ____ abt 1906. The children's marriages took place in Sedgwick Co., Kansas. William Warren Davis and Lydia A. Gossett Davis are buried in Highland Cemetery in Wichita.

John Wesley Davis had Maurice D. born 1896 in Wichita; Ida Laverne born Oct 1898/99 in St. Joseph, Missouri; and Glenn Henderson born 1904 in Bentley, Sedgwick Co., Kansas.

His known children by Estella were Wesley born abt 1908 and Mabel A. born about 1909, both in Wichita, Kansas. John Wesley, Sr. died in Monterey Co., CA in 1949.
