My grandfather Andi/Andrew Madron drowned in the Missouri River in 1899 and his body was found near Wathena, KS. Did Wathena, KS have a newspaper in 1899? If not what newspaper would have carried this news. Also, where would he have been buried if his family did not claim his body. What law enforcement office would have jurisdiction in Wathena in 1899.
