Looking for information on the Witt family that settled in Axtell. Have photocopy of obituary of Sophia Huebner Witt, born 1874 in Germany. Came with family to Nebraska in 1888, married Gustav Witt on March 7, 1895, and moved to Axtell. Gustav died in 1938 and Sophia died on March 24, 1955. Her obituary appeared in the Thursday, March 31, 1955 edition of the Axtell newspaper. I am new to researching genealogy and this obituary is pretty much all the information I have. Any helpful hints and/or information would be greatly appreciated.
