Ladies and Gentlemen,

*My family immigrated from Poland (Austria) directly to Neodesha in August 1907. They are shown on the US Census in Neodesha in 1910, at house number 296.
Their immigration papers show them going to Neodesha to stay with Josef Lack. He does not show up on the 1910 census, but the census taker's name that year was Joseph Polack.
Twins Joseph and Mary were born in Neodesha in Feb 1909.
By 1930, the family moved to Detroit, Michigan, where most of us still reside.

*On January 1st, 2005, my fiancee and I had the pleasure of being the first in our family to visit Neodesha in perhaps 95 years.

*We don't know much about their years in Neodesha. We can only assume that the news of the Norman oil well reached Poland. Several Polish immigrants appear on the 1910 census.

*We would be happy to provide a donation for a copy of their entries in the 1909, (and possibly 1913 and 1916 city directories). Their names were Frand (Frank) Bucala, wife Catherine, and children Gabriel, Leo, Joseph, and Mary.

*I can provide payment by credit card, check, money order, or invoice.

Thank you for your help. We look forward to coming back to Neodesha for the family's 100th year in America.
