Helena Schultz, born Jantz was born in South Russia, Volhynia on March 29, 1840 in the village of Karolswalde. She was baptized by Elder Tobias Unruh in the same village. She was married to Tobias Schultz on October 30, 1859, having been married over 49 years. 9 children were born to this union, 1 son and 8 daughters. The son's name was Peter T. Schultz and one of the daughters was married to a John Mayeskes(?). Helena had a total of 54 grandchildren and 108 great grandchildren at the time of her death, in July 30, 1932. Her burial celebration was conducted in the home by Rev. Schmidt from the Friedenstal church and in the Lehigh church, the speakers were Rev. . Schmidt and Rev. Gustav Frey. She appears to have many descendants, I would like to share family history with any one of them. I am descended from Helena's brother, Benjamin P. Jantz born May 1847.
