Charles Edgar Ross of Kansas, b: abt 1880, married Belle (Margaret) Carter of Kentucky and moved to Spokane County, Washington State. He was a farmer.

I found two Charles E. Ross's in Kansas born in that timeframe, both sons of farmers, and farmers themselves.

The 1880 census, Wilson Co., Verdigis Twp shows father James W., mother Rosemary, daughters Mary L. and Anna and sons Albert F., Jourdan J., and Charles E., who is shown as 1 year old. There is also a Peter Ross, wife Matilda, nearby in Verdigris Twp.

The other is in Ness County, Center Twp, and lists W. S. Ross, wife Clarissa O., sons William S., Frank G., Don A. and Charles E. (born in Nov. 1889). There is also a J. P. Ross, wife Nancy, in Center Twp.
