Martha (Smith) Read divorced Jessie M. Read around 1895 and married an Armstrong that they called Arnie, Army, or something like that. They moved to Kansas from Missouri and settled in the area West of McCracken in the edge on Ness Co. Martha had three children Everett Read who is my grandfather and stayed in Missouri, Minnie Ethel Read who married Percy D. Edgington and lived in or around McCracken,and Wardie Read whom I don't know anything about. I have information that Martha and Arnie Armstrong worked in a hotel in McCracken.
