I am currently researching the Diebolt Family of Atchison Co., Kansas. Joseph Diebolt and his wife Catherine Fraul had several children. Joseph and his older brother Anton (who lived in Walnut Tp during the 1880's prior to moving to Lyon Co.) came to the US from the Bas-Rhin area of Alsace, France in the early 1850's. After a period in the New Orleans and Bureau Co., Ill areas they moved to Northwest Kansas. Another brother John lived near Effingham.
