Mrs. Margaret N (Humphrey) NELLOR passed away March 26, 2000 at the age of 101. Attached are obituaries for her husband, Kimbal G., her son Kimbal H. and her daughter, Barbara J (Nellor) BOYD and herself.

KIMBAL G. NELLOR

Kimbal G. NELLOR, 66, of Stilwell, died today at his home following a heart attack. Mr. NELLOR moved to Johnson County from Nebraska in 1928 and had farmed in the Stillwell area since. He is a veteran of World War I, He leaves his wife, Mrs. Margaret NELLOR of the home; five sons, Maj. Joseph G. NELLOR with the Air Force in Honolulu, who has directed operations in the Pacific attempts to recovee missile capsules; Kimbal H. NELLOR of Stillwell; Sgt. David E. NELLOR of Sherdian, Ill., and Harold J. NELLOR of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Barbarba J. BOYD, Stillwell, and Mrs. Dorothy E. WHITE, Wenatchee, Wash.; a brother, Arthur NELLOR, 8723 Washington {Kansas City, MO}; three sisters, Mrs. Harriet Wagner, Seaside, Calif,; Mrs. Nettie EAKIN, Salina, Kas., and Mrs. Gladys ESTY, The Dalles, Ore., and fourteen grandchildren.

Kimbal G. is buried in Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Garden of the Apostles, Lot 96, per “Cemetery Index of Johnson County, Kansas”, page 399, published in 1983 by the Johnson County Genealogical Society.

MARGARET N. NELLOR

Margaret N, NELLOR, 101, Gardner, KS, passed away March 26, 2000. Private interment services will be at Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Olathe Hospice.
Mrs. NELLOR was born June 29, 1898, and grew up in Mansfield, MO. She married Kimbal G. NELLOR in 1919. They farmed in Johnson County. She was a Methodist and community volunteer for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, two sons Robert and Kimbal H., and one daughter, Barbara BOYD. Survivors include three sons, Joseph NELLOR, Santa Ana, CA, David NELLOR, Kansas City, MO, and Jim NELLOR, Gardner, KS; and daughter Dorothy WHITE, Wanachee, WA; 16 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren. BARBARA J. BOYD

Barbara J. BOYD, 66, Stanley in Overland Park, died May 13, 1992, at the home. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Stanley. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Frey Chapel, Olathe. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association. Mrs. BOYD was a lifelong area resident. Survivors include her husband, George F. BOYD of the home, two sons, Ronald S. BOYD and Todd F. BOYD of Stanley; two daughters, Sharon L. WILLIAMS, Louisburg, Kan., and Vicki L. HONACK, Olathe; her mother, Margaret NELLOR, Gardner in Johnson County; four brothers, Joseph NELLOR, Texas, Kimbal H. NELLOR and James NELLOR of Gardner and David E. NELLOR of Kansas City; a sister, Dorothy White, Wenatehee, Wash,; and a grandson.

KIMBAL H. NELLOR

Kimbal H. NELLOR, 77, Gardner, KS, passed away June 21, 1999, at his home. Funeral services will be a 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 24, at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner; Burial in Gardner Cemetery with graveside services provided by the Gardner American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contribution may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mr. NELLOR was born May 12, 1922, in West Plains, MO. He moved as a child to Kansas City, KS, and lived in Johnson County most of his life. He was a dairy farmer. He was a Methodist. He served in the Army during WWII. He was past president and board member of the Johnson County Fair Board and the Johnson County Farm Bureau. He was also on the board of directors of Mid American Dairymen for 39 years, and past chairman of Water District #7. He graduated from Olathe High School. He married Loretta Louise MEYER NELLOR on August 24, 1955, in Spring Hill, KS; she survives at the home on the family farm. Survivors also include his mother, Margaret Natalie HUMPHERY, Gardner, KS; sons, Richard “Dick” NELLOR, Gardner, KS, Kenneth “Kook” NELLOR, Spring Hill, KS and Russ NELLOR, Gardner, KS; daughters, Mary NELSON, Spring Hill, KS, and Carol SANDERSON, Gardner, KS; brothers Joe NELLOR, Santa Ana, CA, David NELLOR, Peculiar, MO, and Jim NELLOR, Gardner, KS; sister, Dorothy WHITE, Wanachee, WA; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Kimbal George NELLOR, brother, Robert, and sister, Barbara FOYD.
