I have found a Fred E. PHELPS in the 1880 Lincoln Township, Smith County, Kansas census. He may be my great grandfather, who later married a Emily around 1889 or 1890, and their first daughter (Ethel?) was also born in Kansas. I am seeking information on wife Emily's maiden name to confirm that their youngest daughter Eva is the same Eva PHELPS as my grandmother, who was born in Wisconsin.
