Looking for background on Mary C. HOLMES. She and her husband went to Hiawatha, KS for his position with the railroad. She helped establish the Catholic Church in Hiawatha and was invited to name the church. She chose St. Anne's. She was buried in St. Benedict's Cemetery at Atchison on 4/6/1903.

Mary Cecilia and her husband Henry Holmes had three children: Junie (Stout), Cecilia (Quiett) and Harry B. Holmes.
