Columbus and Fanny Bird Lockwood were married in the late 1890s in Shelby County, Ill. They are listed in that county's 1900 census. After that, they moved somewhere in Kansas to homestead.
Our family has no further information other than when my mother (his niece) was a child, and her mother, Anna Lockwood Barding of Oconee, Ill. received a telegram that he had died. Assuming it was about 1915 or after.
Our Lockwood family history lacks information about this couple, if they had children, and basically, what happened to them after they left Illinois.
