My gr-gr grandfather George alexander had 200+ acres of land in Montgomery Co Kansas when he died in 1875. I would like to know if someone could locate it and if I could get a copy of the Land record he had if it is available or at least give some heads up on how to get it. I have no idea how he came to purchasing land in that area . He lived in IL LaSalle Co Streator IL and died there in 1875 leaving 5 children and his wife died in 1859 but don,t know if she died in LaSalle Co IL or not. If you have any other info on him would appreciate it. Thanks
